Legendary guitarist, singer and songwriter Eric Clapton has announced he'll be releasing his 21st studio album entitled OLD SOCK via his own Bushbranch label, with distribution by Surfdog Records in the U.S. and Canada.  The album is due March 12, while his recently announced World Tour will kick off just two days later on March 14 in Phoenix, Arizona.  The tour includes a stop in New York City for Clapton's 2013 Crossroads Guitar Festival taking place at Madison Square Garden on April 12-13.  The Festival is currently running a contest looking for the best undiscovered guitarist to join Clapton on stage and perform during the event.  You can sign up to enter.

Grammy Award winning singer Aaron Neville is busy promoting his new doo-wop album, My True Story including an apprearance as the musical guest on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno tonight (January 29).  The album is Neville's first for Blue Note Records and was co-produced by Blue Note Records President Don Was and Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards.  The project features many of Aaron's favorite songs from the doo-wop genre, including "This Magic Moment," "Under The Boardwalk" and "Tears on My Pillow." The Tonight Show with Jay Leno airs on NBC beginning at 11:35PM EST.
