Birthday wishes to Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter Anita Baker who celebrates tomorrow (January 26).  Anita was born in Toledo, Ohio and raised in Detroit, Michigan.  She got her start with the band Chapter 8 in 1975 and signed her her first solo deal with Beverly Glen Music in 1982.  Her debut solo album, The Songstress was released in 1983 followed by her breakthrough major label release Rapture in 1986.  Her biggest hits include "Sweet Love," "Giving You The Best That I Got" and "I Apologize" - all Grammy winners.  In 2012, Anita released "Lately" the first single from her forthcoming album Only Forever.  "Lately" has been nominated for a Grammy Award in the Best Traditional R&B Performance category and marks her 16th nomination.  The 55th Grammy's will be held on February 10, 2013 in Los Angeles and will be broadcast live on CBS at 8p.m.
