'Motown: The Musical' to Open April 14, 2013

Motown Records founder, Berry Gordy announced his Broadway show, Motown: The Musical will open April 14, 2013.  Actor Brandon Victor Dixon has been selected to play Gordy, while Valisia LeKae will play the Supremes lead singer, Diana Ross.  The show will be staged in New York at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, with preview performances beginning March 11.  Dixon received a Tony nomination for his performance in The Color Purple and received a Drama Desk Award nomination for The Scottsboro Boys. 
LeKae has several Broadway musicals to her name including The Book of Mormon, Ragtime, 110 in the Shade and The Threepenny Opera.
