Happy Birthday Natalie Cole

Birthday wishes to singer, songwriter and actress Natalie Cole who celebrates today (February 6).  Natalie was born in Los Angeles, CA and is the daughter of famed jazz singer Nat 'King' Cole and Maria Cole, who sang with the Duke Ellington Orchestra.  In 1991 she released her most successful album to date, Unforgettable... With Love, featuring songs from the great American Songbook and a duet with her late father on his hit "Unforgettable."  The nine-time Grammy winner has also acted in the films "Lily In Winter" and "Always Outnumbered" in addition to the television shows "Law and Order" and "Touched By An Angel."  In 2010 she released her memoir Love Brought Me Back, reflecting on her kidney disease due to Hepatitis C and her kidney transplant in 2009.  Cole has been active as the spokesperson for the University Kidney Research Foundation and recently performed in New York to raise money and awareness for the Tune In to Hep C campaign.
