Adele Sweeps 2011 Charts with #1 Selling Album Song
Adele ruled the U.S. charts in 2011, finishing the year with the the number one album, 21, and the number one single, "Rolling In The Deep", according to Nielson SoundScan. 21 sold 5.82 million copies last year and "Rolling In The Deep" had 5.81 million downloads. 21 is Adele's second album and in the 44 weeks it's been on the charts, it's never left the top 10. The album is currently enjoying its 14th week at number one. The singer was plagued by voice trouble late last year and underwent throat surgery to correct the problem. She was spotted on vacation with her new beau, Simon Konecki, in the Florida Everglades earlier this week.
