The National Council of Jewish Women, Cleveland (NCJW/Cleveland) is hosting an evening of culinary competition, titled “Something’s Simmering” on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at the Pura Vida and the Tri-C Hospitality Management Center, 180 Euclid Avenue in Cleveland. Proceeds from the event will support the LiveSpecial.com website, a user-friendly online gateway to special needs information and service providers in Northeast Ohio.
Beginning at 5:30 p.m., “Something’s Simmering” will feature local celebrity chefs who will assist teams of three in a culinary cooking competition. Chefs include:
§ Brandt Evans, Pura Vida
§ Brian Goodman, The Greenhouse Tavern
§ Doug Katz, Fire
§ Scott Kim, SaSaMatsu
§ Adam Lambert, Bar Cento
§ Karen Small, Flying Fig
§ Mike Tolosa, Moxie
§ Eric Williams, Momocho
Event co-chair and Steering Committee Chair of LiveSpecial.com, Elaine Eisner says, “We are so thankful for the community’s support around Something's Simmering, which will benefit LiveSpecial.com. LiveSpecial.com is going to help reduce the challenge of finding valuable resources for individuals with special needs in our community. This website would have been so helpful to me and my husband when we learned that our daughter had special needs. This is one reason why NCJW/Cleveland decided to take on this project.”
