Through concerts, television shows, books and a national preservation organization, platinum-selling entertainer Michael Feinstein celebrates the art of the American Songbook like no other.

The Columbus native performs more than 200 shows a year and has played Carnegie Hall, the Sydney Opera House, Buckingham Palace and the White House. In 2007, he founded the Michael Feinstein American Songbook Initiative, dedicated to the art and history of American standards. In August, he was named principal pops conductor of the Pasadena Pops, replacing the late Marvin Hamlisch. His new book and CD package, “The Gershwins and Me: A Personal History in Twelve Songs,” was published in October 2012 by Simon & Schuster.
