A night of soul, stomp and swamp.

Two icons of New Orleans-based jazz, pop and blues, Aaron Neville and Dr. John, share the stage for a Crescent-City celebration.

Aaron Neville has lent his trademark vibrato to hit songs with pop singer Linda Ronstadt and country star Trisha Yearwood. His new album, “My True Story,” featuring some of his favorites from the doo-wop era, is produced by Keith Richards and Don Was, and is due out from Blue Note Records in January.

Singer and pianist Malcolm John “Mac” Rebennack Jr., aka Dr. John, is a five-time Grammy Award winner and 2011 inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. His 2008 release, “City That Care Forgot,” a tribute to New Orleans, won a Grammy for Best Contemporary Blues Album. Rolling Stone described his 2012 release, “Locked Down,” as “the wildest record Rebennack has made in many years."
